The aim is to acquire the following professional skills:

Using a browser to access the Internet
- Using the address bar; Navigating the pages displayed using hypertext links
- Optimising navigation : Managing tabs; Creating bookmarks, favourites or bookmarks; Consulting history
Searching on the Internet
- Using a directory or search engine
- Optimising your search: By using the categories suggested by the search engine (Images, news, video..); By using simple keyword queries
- Analyse the nature of the sites proposed (institutional sites, blogs, social networks...) : Services offered; Relevance of content; Contributor's references
Adopting responsible use of the Internet
- Respecting good practice, copyright and regulations (IT and freedom laws and Hadopi)
- The dangers associated with networks; Guarding against malicious acts; Digital identity.
Evaluation criteria
- The internet browser is opened and then used correctly.
- Hypertext links and interactive areas in a web page are identified correctly.
- The search engine is launched and used correctly.
- Keywords appropriate to the topic of the search are used. The relevance of the information obtained is assessed. The query is re-evaluated if necessary.
- The nature of the sites proposed (commercial, personal, institutional) by the search engine is identified, understood and explained correctly.
- The selection, copying and saving of an image, text or document is carried out correctly.
- Appropriate online services are identified. The relevance of the online service located is assessed. Practical sites or information related to the professional environment are identified and found.

Reading, writing and arithmetic. The areas of skills acquired are validated during the prior assessment and are capitalised on with a view to the Socle de Connaissances et de Compétences Professionnelles certification. A period of 5 years is allowed between the prior assessment of the skills acquired and the appearance before the certification panel.
