The aim of the course is to prepare participants to become competent, multi-skilled professionals, capable of taking up jobs in wineries, sales outlets or restaurants, offering quality service to customers. The course covers various aspects of the profession, from wine selection to presentation and sales. Participants will acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge they need for their future roles. Attentive to the demands of a varied clientele, the sommelier-cellar agent will be able to satisfy them and introduce them to wines, beers and spirits. Their knowledge of these products enables them to manage supplies and monitor sales and finances. They ensure compliance with regulations.

At the end of the training, he will be able to:

-Organise his activity

-Know wines, beers and spirits

-Advise, sell and serve products

-Know how to communicate, promote and create events related to wines and spirits

-Comply with hygiene rules and regulations

-Manage the purchase and storage of beverages

-Stand the till

-Communicate in English with basic notions for professional purposes

-Use tools related to the trade (office automation, digital, specific software)

-Use job-related social networks 


Integration period: Welcome, presentation of training objectives, discovery of the professional environment, awareness of sustainable development, adaptation of the course - 7 hours

Wine knowledge and purchasing, beer and spirits

Total maximum duration of 493 hours, including 84 hours on the job and 409 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.
