WHOW - WOMEN HOME WORKING

Co-funded by the European Union as part of the Erasmus + programme, the WHOW - Women Home Working, project supports young mothers (aged 16 to 25) in their return to employment or training after pregnancy.

A European initiative to support young mothers
\"\"

Launched in December 2022 for a duration of 26 months, the WHOW project brings together five European partners: the GIP FIPAN (coordinator), Exeo Lab (Italy), Dramblys (Spain), RightChallenge (Portugal), Synthesis (Cyprus).

The mission of the project is to help young mothers who have had to interrupt their education, training or career to regain the confidence and skills to re-enter the labour market.

To meet the specific needs of these young women, workshops were organised in the five partner countries. These sessions, designed to welcome mothers with their children, helped to overcome the constraints associated with childcare, one of the main barriers to employment and training for young mothers.
Innovative tools for young mothers and professionals
\"\"

Throughout the project, the consortium has developed free resources and tools to support both young mothers and the professionals who support them. Available in six languages (English, French, Italian, Greek, Portuguese and Spanish), these tools include:

    • Mapping the needs and situation of young mothers: a study carried out in 2023 to better understand the situation of young mothers in the five partner countries.
    • Coaching courses: modules on self-awareness, personal development, communication, organisation and parenting skills.
    • Digital and office training:a handbook for professionals to help young mothers master the tools essential to their professional reintegration.
    • E-learning modules:self-directed learning to boost their knowledge of digital and office tools.

    • E-CV SOFT SKILLS web application: a platform dedicated to identifying and promoting participants' soft skills.
    • Guide to creating a video CV: to stand out on the job market and highlight their professional strengths and assets.
    • Guide to teleworking: practical advice on balancing work and personal life, particularly in a teleworking context.

In 2024, more than 40 young mothers benefited from this personalised support in the five partner countries.
