VAE INT

Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience (VAE) is a recognition of prior learning procedure which allows any French educational establishment to award diplomas partially or wholly depending on professional experience.

Any person engaged in working life, whatever their age, profession or situation, can access the procedure, provided they have at least 1 year's professional experience.

The core of the project, implemented between November 2021 and March 2024, was to disseminate a method for implementing VAE pathways aimed at obtaining a certification, title or diploma through a procedure for recognising and validating skills acquired in the partner countries.

VAE is a "new opportunity", a way of giving workers social and professional recognition and facilitating free access to the internal and external labour market.

The digital platform, which hosts all the project deliverables in the different languages of the partnership, provides VAE candidates and tutors with useful resources for implementing the VAE process, such as:

• A regulatory analysis:a comprehensive analysis of the laws governing the application of VAE in the partner countries and a study of the transferability of the French VAE model to other EU countries
• A quality charter:guidelines for an efficient implementation of the VAE procedure
• L'expérimentation VAE : didactic material and resources of the VAE pilot test implemented in the project countries
