Validation of synoptic skills

This ALCOTRA project was created with the aim of strengthening cross-border cooperation and supporting the socio-economic development of mountain areas. It aims to create a cross-border tool for mapping and highlighting skills. Its aim is to promote a common work culture based on mutual recognition of workers' skills and experience.

The aim is to create a cross-border tool for mapping and highlighting skills.

A cross-border project to promote the socio-economic development of mountain areas
\"\"

Thanks to collaboration between training bodies and institutions in both countries - with the CAA - Consortium for Business and Professional Updating as lead partner, the IIS Luigi Des Ambrois in Italy and the GRETA Alpes Provence in France - VA.COM.SI. is proposing to create a method for comparing the technical and cross-disciplinary skills required for traditional and emerging professions in the mountain economy.

The ultimate aim is to foster the integration of local labour markets, promote employability and consolidate innovative and replicable cross-border governance, in line with European lifelong learning and professional mobility strategies.
Mutual recognition of skills
\"\"

A key element of the project is the mutual recognition of competences in non-formal and informal contexts, listed jointly by Italy and France. A grassroots approach (from work experience to skills profile) is particularly important here.

This recognition will be achieved via a standardisation process, with the participation of the responsible bodies, guaranteeing a fair and transparent assessment of skills in both countries.

The creation of a common system for the validation and certification of skills will encourage worker mobility and cross-border cooperation, enabling workers to make the most of their skills with the greatest possible administrative fluidity, thus facilitating the movement of workers and promoting better integration of local labour markets.
Planned activities
\"\"

- analysis of needs and development of a shared model

- experimentation on real cases

- creation of digital tools for consulting and applying the results;

- involvement of certification bodies and companies to ensure mutual recognition of skills.
