STAGE : SupporTing migrAnt inteGration and combating racism at local level through digital servicEs

The STAGE project, co-funded by Erasmus+, promotes the inclusion of migrants and combats racism via digital tools. Using an online application and platform, it facilitates language learning, access to rights and services, and the strengthening of social ties.

A European consortium committed to inclusion
\"\"

The STAGE project is based on the collaboration of five European partners from a variety of sectors, united around a common objective: to promote the integration of migrants and combat discrimination using digital tools.

This consortium is made up of the following organisations:

  • GIP FIPAN (France) - Lead Partner, specialising in the management of European projects and support for vulnerable groups.
  • Synthesis (Cyprus), a key player in social innovation and inclusion through educational and technological solutions.
  • Kentro Merimnas Oikogeneias Kai Paidiou (KMOP) (Greece), an expert in supporting marginalised populations and developing social programmes.
  • Impact Circles (Germany), committed to promoting interculturality and networking local and European initiatives.
  • HT (Italy), an organisation active in the training and professional integration of people in precarious situations.

Through a collaborative and transnational approach, these partners have pooled their expertise to design concrete and innovative tools that facilitate the social inclusion of migrants and strengthen the skills of reception professionals.

A three-part project

The STAGE project is built around three complementary axes aimed at improving the inclusion of migrants through digital solutions and tailored support for professionals.

  • Identification of local and national needs in terms of social inclusion

In the first phase, the project carried out in-depth data collection to understand the specific needs of migrants in each partner country. This phase culminated in a detailed report, providing recommendations for the development of the web application and training programmes.

  • Development of an innovative web application for migrants

A modern web application has been designed to improve migrants' digital and social skills. Accessible via smartphones, it offers the following services:

  • Language learning and translation tools: to facilitate communication in the host country.
  • Access to relevant information: local services, migrants' rights, news, etc.
  • Social networking: creating links with the local community to reduce isolation.
  • Interactive map: sharing migrants' stories and itineraries, promoting mutual understanding between migrants and locals
.
  • Capacity building programme for adult mentors and trainers

A specific programme has been developed to help mentors, trainers and volunteers improve their skills in supporting migrants. This programme aims to:

  • Strengthen the effectiveness of adult education in a migratory context.
  • Adapt teaching methods to the needs of migrants.
  • Encourage mentoring to support migrants' autonomy in their new living environment.

This integrated approach helps to meet the challenges of social inclusion by combining technology, training and intercultural understanding.
