INTERGENDERACTION: Taking action against intergenerational and gender conflicts in the workplace

Co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme, the INTERGENDERACTION project aims to promote inclusion in the workplace by addressing the challenges associated with intergenerational and gender diversity.

Launched in October 2024 for a period of 24 months, the INTERGENDERACTION project brings together six European partners: GIP FIPAN (coordinator), ANTARES (Italy), Poderio Training and Research and Foro de Empresarias y profesionales de Cordoba (Spain), Proportional Message (Portugal), Versli mama (Lithuania).

The aim of this project is to challenge stereotypes, promote gender equality, combat age and gender discrimination, and foster harmonious intergenerational cooperation in the workplace. More specifically, the initiative seeks to bridge gaps and reduce tensions related to the growing presence of independent young women in leadership positions in traditionally conservative work environments.
Innovative tools to improve diversity management within teams

Throughout the project, the consortium will develop free resources and tools for business leaders, managers and team leaders who wish to improve their communication and human resource management skills. These tools are also aimed at employees who wish to promote intergenerational cooperation and gender equality in the workplace. Available in six languages (English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Lithuanian and Spanish), these resources include:

  • The results of a survey conducted among 200 managers and team leaders in partner countries, to better understand the current challenges.
  • A brochure on the six main areas affecting intergenerational and gender conflict in business.
  • A self-assessment tool destined for managers and team leaders to measure their ability to manage these issues.
  • Training modules in the form of podcasts, addressing key themes for better diversity management.
  • Video testimonials from professionals on good practice to adopt.
  • An e-learning toolkit with practical resources based on microlearning.

In addition, several workshops and promotional events will be organised throughout the project, specifically aimed at managers and team leaders, to raise their awareness of diversity and inclusion issues.
