EXTRAVERT - EXperts pour la TRAnsition VERte Transfrontalière

Launched in March 2024 for a three-year period, EXTRAVERT is supported by the Interreg France-Italy Marittimo programme for the period 2021-2027. The project brings together eight partners from cross-border regions and the lead partner is the municipality of Capannori in Italy.

The other partners represent training centres and professional associations in Tuscany, Liguria, Sardinia, Corsica and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The project aims to rebalance the supply and demand for green skills by training new professional profiles capable of helping companies move towards more sustainable production.

• Facilitate the ecological transition of companies by integrating sustainable production processes and circular economy practices.
• Train Green Managers, new professional profiles with expertise in ecological transition, capable of supporting companies in their adaptation to environmental standards.

• Resolve the imbalance between supply and demand for green skills, by training qualified young people and promoting their professional integration.
• Develop a web platform facilitating contact between companies, experts in the circular economy and young people seeking employment in this field.

• An innovative training model to prepare future Green Managers, particularly in the tourism and shipping sectors, based on the existing Skills Kit proposed in the ACTION project and updated with the EXTRAVERT project.

• An interactive web platform facilitating connections between businesses, circular economy experts and young professionals, including a database of experts, skills certification and a job matching service

The EXTRAVERT project is having a significant impact by helping local businesses to adopt sustainable and circular economy practices, while training experts to support this transition.

The project is improving the employability of young people and professionals undergoing retraining by providing them with appropriate training and opportunities for integration.

Through cross-border cooperation between France and Italy, it will promote the harmonisation of qualifications and the exchange of best practice, contributing to a dynamic ecosystem for innovation and green growth.
