CFA des Chefs


The GRETA-CFA Marseille Méditerranée at the Lycée hôtelier Jean-Paul Passédat in Marseille 8e is continuing its partnership with the CFA des CHEFS.

The CFA des Chefs is the result of a unique alliance between several groups that are major players in the hotel and catering sector. Thanks to this partnership, apprentices become Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Waiters or Restaurant Managers, without having to look for a host company for their sandwich course and have a job offer at the end of the training course!

A comprehensive system geared to success

The CFA des Chefs is committed to working with the best hotel high schools. Of the 12 selected throughout France, it is the J-P Passédat hotel school that has been selected in the Marseille area to implement the training courses :

  • Titre professionnel Commis de cuisine en 1 an
  • Cap Cuisine en 1 an
  • CAP Pâtissier en 1 an
  • BAC PRO Cuisine en 2 ans
  • BTS Management Hôtellerie Restauration

A system based on 3 pillars :

  • A work-study programme carried out within the many partner establishments ( traditional catering, in the hotel industry, in the health sector, event catering...)
  • Enhanced training
  • Job offers in France or abroad

In 2024, the success rate rose to 96% with 60% of mentions Very Good and Good

Supporting apprentices as closely as possible
  • Certificate courses enriched with modules adapted to changes in the restaurant industry: consumer expectations, expectations in the restaurant industry, new culinary techniques...
  • A close follow-up GRETA-CFA & CFA des Chefs with learners and teaching teams to optimise learning conditions throughout the year
  • A friendly in-company tutoring. Apprenticeship supervisors are trained in the tutoring function and kept up to date with the latest changes to the French Labour Code for apprentices in the catering industry. Demanding but benevolent, the Apprentice Master reviews the trial period, regularly assesses skills, fills in the liaison booklet and communicates regularly with the educational managers. They pass on their know-how and passion.

The catering professions are demanding ( physical work, respect for hygiene conditions, safety...) but they are passionate professions!
