The TP local IT technician (formerly TP IT support technician) has expanded, now covering a variety of areas, such as user support, incident management, IT infrastructure maintenance, as well as the management and security of digital equipment. This development is accompanied by an increase in skills, particularly in constantly evolving technical areas such as cyber security, but also in areas such as communication and user support in the face of technological change.
The impact of technological innovations, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and chatbots, is transforming the tasks of IT technicians, broadening their responsibilities to integrate these innovations into digital practices and support their adoption by users. In addition, taking account of disability and the challenges of responsible management of digital equipment are redefining approaches to maintenance and sustainability.
