The automotive electromechanical technician diagnoses, carries out routine maintenance, assembles and commissions accessories and performs preventive and corrective maintenance on the mechanical, electrical, electronic and IT systems of vehicles used to transport nine people or less and goods vehicles weighing less than 3.5 tonnes. These vehicles are powered by internal combustion, electric and hybrid engines.
The aims of the course are:
Perform periodic servicing, replace tyres and braking system components on
motor vehicles
Perform diagnosis and maintenance of ground linkage systems, diagnostics and maintenance of motor vehicle suspension, steering and transmission systems
Diagnostics of motor vehicle internal combustion engines and maintenance of
peripheral equipment
Diagnostics and maintenance of motor vehicle electrical traction, comfort and safety equipment, fitting of accessories
Certificate of Professional Competence 1. Carry out periodic servicing, replace tyres and brake system components on motor vehicles

- Diagnose the mechanical condition of internal combustion engines
- Intervene on a motor vehicle air conditioning circuit
- Carry out the diagnosis and maintenance of engine peripheral equipment
Certificate of Professional Skills 4 . Carrying out the diagnosis and maintenance of electrical traction, comfort and safety equipment for motor vehicles, fitting accessories
- Carrying out the diagnosis and maintenance of opening systems, restraint and occupant protection systems
- Work on a vehicle air conditioning circuit
- Carry out the diagnosis and maintenance of communication networks, signalling and information systems, visibility and air conditioning equipment
- Carry out the diagnosis and maintenance of an electric traction system for electric or hybrid vehicles
