Vocational qualification: Climatic Comfort Equipment Maintenance Technician (TP TMECC)

Holders of the ‘Climate Control Equipment Maintenance Technician’ vocational qualification will be able to commission, maintain and repair domestic heating, domestic hot water and ventilation systems, and their energy sources (domestic fuel oil, gas, thermodynamic, wood or solar).

The training course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.

• Carry out commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance on various systems:

RNCP38081BC04 – Carry out commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance of residential heating and domestic hot water systems, air ventilation systems and their wood-fired or solar-powered generators

• Carry out commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance of the hydraulic circuits, equipment and control systems of residential heating and domestic hot water installations powered by wood or solar energy.
• Provide practical advice and recommendations for improvements aimed at enhancing the energy efficiency of residential heating and domestic hot water systems.

The examination board validates all or part of the Professional Qualification. In the event of partial validation, the certificates of professional competence (CCP) (or competence modules) obtained remain valid for a period of 5 years.

The final examination takes place within 2 months of the end of the training course.

The final examination takes place before a two-member assessment panel comprising professionals from the sector. It comprises a work-based scenario and an interview based on the professional portfolio (DP), which highlights the experience and skills developed by the candidate.

For this professional qualification, assessments during the training (ECF) are organised throughout the course to evaluate the candidate’s progress and their mastery of professional skills.
