Professional qualification in plumbing and heating

The objectives of the training course are to enable professionals to:

• Prepare and organise plumbing, heating and ventilation work based on plans, technical documents and instructions.
• To install, connect and commission sanitary equipment, domestic hot water systems and heating systems using all types of energy.
• To fit and connect heat emitters (radiators, underfloor heating) and pipework networks.
• Install and connect air renewal systems (ventilation, ducts, vents, extractors).
• Carry out the checks, tests, flushing and descaling operations necessary for the proper functioning of the installations.
• Apply safety, risk prevention and environmental protection regulations.
• Ensure quality, regulatory compliance and site cleanliness.
• Communicate effectively with teams, the site manager and clients.

The course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote practical and progressive learning.

BC01 – Installing plumbing systems in residential buildings

BC02 - Install a heating system in residential buildings

• - Carry out work on a section of a heating system
  - Install a heat emitter

Sustainability issues are addressed throughout the course: ensure, during work, that the energy performance of buildings is not compromised (airtightness), recommend the installation of water-saving devices and the regular maintenance of equipment to optimise its operation and lifespan, ensure the sorting and traceability of waste and recycle materials, and carry out adaptations for people with reduced mobility.

Throughout the programme, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop their professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, industry-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learners to learn in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.

Teachers certified by the French Education Nationale, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult training, professional speakers.

For this professional qualification, ongoing assessments (ECF) are organised throughout the course to evaluate the candidate’s progress and their mastery of professional skills.

The final examination takes place before a two-member examination panel comprising professionals from the sector. It comprises a professional role-play and an interview based on the professional portfolio (DP), which highlights the experience and skills developed by the candidate.

The final examination takes place within two months of the end of the training course.

The examination panel validates all or part of the Professional Qualification. In the event of partial validation, the professional competence certificates (CCP) (or competence modules) obtained are valid for a period of five years.

The candidate may subsequently complete the missing modules to obtain the Professional Qualification in its entirety.
