Video protection and remote surveillance operators carry out intrusion, fire, technical (lifts, generators, etc.) and even social (the elderly, the sick) surveillance on sites equipped with alarm systems. In video surveillance or video protection, they use the images coming from the screens to keep a continuous watch on the places, spaces or buildings to be monitored. In remote surveillance, they ensure that the information received and events are received and processed quickly and efficiently in accordance with the instructions laid down in the legal framework, the code of ethics and the company's internal procedures.
At the end of the training course, the candidate will be able to:
In video protection:
- view, analyse, exploit images emanating from any system that produces images to secure people, places, spaces or buildings
- trigger and monitor the various types of intervention (alarms, remote surveillance, on-call) with a view to informing the private or public players responsible for intervening on the sites
- trace events on the register provided for this purpose or on a computerised logbook.
In remote surveillance:
- receive, process quickly and efficiently alarms from security systems (intruder, fire, technical alarms), coupled or integrated with video protection devices.
- in the event of an event, listen to the caller, question them, and reformulate their request in order to establish an assessment of the situation, and qualify the nature and degree of urgency.
- remotely expedite the intervention of authorised persons or the departments concerned according to the priorities defined by the procedures.
- ensure that security systems return to normal.
Access to both activities is regulated and requires a professional card.The training is made up of 2 blocks of skills sanctioned by a certificate of professional skills (CCP):
BC01 - Securing people, places and property using video protection resources (CCP1)
Overseeing the operation of video protection installations and equipment in the operations centre
Securing people, premises and property using a video protection system
Analysing and exploiting images or alarms from a video protection system
BC02 - Managing the security of people, premises and property by means of a remote surveillance system and regulate the organisation of interventions (CCP2)
Oversee the operation and security of a remote surveillance operations centre
Receive and process information and communication in remote monitoring
Providing level 1 advice to remote monitoring customers
Triggering and regulating the intervention of authorised persons or competent services
Ensuring that security systems return to normal operation

Level of final year of secondary school or equivalent.
CAP/BEP/level 3 professional qualification in the security professions with 3 years' experience in the security profession or remote customer relations.
Surveillance professionals who do not hold a diploma, subject to validation by our teams.
Mastery of the French language essential for oral and written expression and comprehension.
Ability to write a computerised report.
Prior authorisation to enter training is essential. It is issued by the Conseil National des Activités Privées de Sécurité (CNAPS).
