Provide a commercial and technical service to customers by advising on, preparing, repairing and maintaining cycles, electrically-assisted bicycles and snow sliding equipment.

Advise, guide to carry out sales and rentals of sports equipment and equipment and mobilise digital environments.

Supervise orders and stock movements for a sales or service outlet, run the sales and/or rental outlet.


The course is organised into several skill modules, allowing for step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to encourage hands-on, progressive learning.

BC01 - Carry out the preparation, maintenance and routine repairs of bicycles and electric-assist bicycles

  • Prepare bicycles and electric-assist bicycles: unpack, assemble and fit with safety accessories.
  • Sort waste; position and arrange bicycles and e-bikes on sales shelves or in the hire fleet.
  • Inspect equipment returned from hire, carry out routine maintenance on bicycles and electric-assist bicycles: clean, adjust, lubricate and replace worn parts.
  • Adjust bicycles and e-bikes to suit users’ body types

  • Carry out routine repairs to mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components.

BC02 - Assist with the sale and hire of sports equipment and accessories

  • Assist with the sale or hire of sports equipment and accessories: welcoming customers, identifying their needs, providing advice (technical specifications, usage guidance, maintenance, complementary products)
  • Carry out administrative tasks related to sales and hire, and process payments
  • Assist with monitoring orders and stock movements at a retail or service outlet.
  • Processing returns from hire contracts.
  • Keeping the department in good working order (tidy and well-stocked)
  • Contributing to the shop’s image and communication on social media

Throughout the programme, trainees receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables participants to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real working world.

Total maximum duration of 924 hours, including 637 hours in a company and 308 hours at the training centre.

For this professional qualification, ongoing assessments (ECF) are organised throughout the course to evaluate the candidate’s progress and their mastery of professional skills.

The final examination takes place before a two-member examination panel comprising professionals from the sector. It comprises a professional role-play and an interview based on the professional portfolio (DP), which highlights the experience and skills developed by the candidate.

The final examination takes place within two months of the end of the training course.

The examination panel validates all or part of the Professional Qualification. In the event of partial validation, the professional competence certificates (CCP) (or competence modules) obtained are valid for a period of five years.

The candidate may subsequently complete the missing modules to obtain the Professional Qualification in its entirety.
