Professional title: Air-conditioning and heating equipment maintenance technician (TP)

On completion of the training, the candidate will be able to:

• carry out the necessary checks relating to safety, the quality of combustion emissions into the environment and the maintenance of equipment performance
• work on generators using conventional energy sources, renewable energy sources, on energy recovery and air renewal equipment, or on hybrid systems combining these
• provide advice to the customers at whose premises they are working on the correct use of the equipment and propose technical solutions to improve the energy performance of their installations
• carry out work in accordance with contracts and regulations, and in an environmentally responsible manner
• sort waste generated during the work so that it can be recycled.
• carry out their work in accordance with safety, health and environmental guidelines, the PPSPS (Specific Health and Safety Plan) where applicable, or otherwise the prevention plan. 
• help to reduce energy consumption, promote the use of environmentally friendly technologies, raise awareness amongst users and propose sustainable alternative solutions

The training course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.

 RNCP38079BC02 – Carry out preventive maintenance on domestic heating, domestic hot water and ventilation systems and their gas-fired boilers. 

 RNCP38079BC03 - Carry out preventive maintenance on domestic heating, domestic hot water and ventilation systems and their thermodynamic generators. 

 RNCP38079BC04 - Carry out preventive maintenance on domestic heating, domestic hot water and ventilation systems and their wood- or solar-powered generators. 

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning to each individual’s needs.

The work placement also enables learners to develop their professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

• Fully classroom-based training

The training course takes place in person at the centre, which provides the ideal setting for building group dynamics, encouraging interactive discussions between trainees and making use of professional equipment.

Assessment of participants’ satisfaction both during and at the end of the training course.

Interviews and remedial support with the educational advisor and/or the company liaison officer during the training course.

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.

For this professional qualification, in-training assessments (ECF) are organised throughout the course to evaluate the candidate’s progress and their mastery of professional skills.

The final examination takes place before a two-member panel comprising professionals from the sector. It comprises a professional role-play and an interview based on the professional portfolio (DP), which highlights the experience and skills developed by the candidate.

The final examination takes place within two months of the end of the training course.

The examination board validates all or part of the Professional Qualification. In the event of partial validation, the certificates of professional competence (CCP) (or competence blocks) obtained are valid for a period of 5 years.

The candidate may subsequently complete the missing blocks to obtain the Professional Qualification in its entirety.
