Connected Appliance Services Technician

The connected household appliance services technician (TSEC) carries out the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, diagnosis and repair of household appliance products and/or systems

The training course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.

BC01 – Managing customer relations during an after-sales service call for a domestic appliance to meet the customer’s expectations 

• Dealing with a customer during an after-sales service call-out, in order to guide them towards the appropriate solution whilst taking into account the specific nature of the call-out, whether in person or remotely
• Prepare a quotation and an invoice as part of an after-sales service, applying the legal requirements to present the cost of the service to the customer

BC02 – Install, configure and commission a domestic appliance 

• Commission a domestic appliance by installing and configuring it to ensure it operates optimally
• Advise the customer, either in person or remotely, guiding them in the use of a domestic appliance to ensure it is used to its full potential

BC03 – Carry out maintenance and/or refurbishment of a domestic appliance 

• Carry out a preliminary diagnosis of a domestic appliance using appropriate investigative methods to determine the cause of the fault
• Diagnose and repair a domestic appliance in order torestore it to optimal working order in accordance with the standards set by the manufacturer
• Refurbish a household appliance intended for the re-use market in accordance with the standards set by the manufacturer and current regulations

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning to each individual’s needs.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-play scenarios, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, job-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, simulations and collaborative activities, enabling learners to acquire skills in conditions that closely mirror the professional workplace.

Being aged between 18 and 29 in the case of an apprenticeship contract

Having an SN/MELEC Vocational Baccalaureate, STI Baccalaureate or equivalent

Equivalences and pathways: to be assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the candidate’s background.

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.

This course consists of certified skill modules, which can be undertaken and assessed separately.

Formative assessments are organised throughout the course to evaluate the candidate’s progress and their mastery of professional skills.

Examinations take place at the end of the course (final assessment) based on a professional portfolio and an interview with a panel of industry experts.

In apprenticeship: Training is available up to 3 months after the start of the course, subject to validation of your application, the assignments given in the host organisation (diploma compliance) and available places
