The training objectives are:

Understand the technical concepts of a fibre optic network
Know the terminology and basic principles of measurement techniques carried out on optical networks
Be able to connect, control, analyse and interpret the results of measurements on fibre optic networks
Have a working methodology for installers on preparation, connection and control
Understand the technical differences between an industrial fibre-optic network (horizontal) and a FTTH network (vertical)
Reconnect links, coil, uncoil and connect fibres in buildings
Implement a customer intervention according to the process described by the operator
Check and measure link transmission parameters
Manage customer relations and conflict management

The programme consists of the following training modules:

Basic principles of fibre optics (Fundamentals)
FTTX network infrastructures
Steps and principles of fibre optic measurement : Interpretation of reflectometric curves, loss measurements, reflectometric measurement benches
Intervention and connection, FTTH after-sales service
Technician safety
Managing customer relations

Certification of prior learning

Maximum total duration of 400 hours, including 70 hours in a company and 330 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

All audiences

Level Bac or CAP. Must hold a driving licence and be willing to travel. Strong professional availability. Good colour discrimination and physical conditions (carrying loads).
