Fibre optics technician + CACES® nacelle 1B +3B - H0/B0 - BS/BE electrical approvals

The technician specialising in fibre optics will be able to independently connect an optical network and carry out all the work involved in pulling cables, laying and connecting optical equipment in different environments.

At the end of the training course the professional will be able to:

• organise and prepare his/her work,
• deploy cables both indoors and outdoors,
• lay fibre optic cable and connect a fibre optic cable bundle (all techniques),
• check the connections made and test performance using approved certification equipment,
• draw up and have the customer sign the work and performance sheet

Module 1 - Optical Fibre Theory

• Optical Fibre: the basics for installers,
• FTTH optical networks
• Vocabulary associated with FTTx optical fibre networks
• End-to-end optical links
• Optical fibre connections, Implementation of an FTTH - FTTXes connection, steps and principles of optical fibre measurement, Interpretation of reflectometric curves
• Loss measurements, Reflectometric measurement benches,
• Measurement parameters,
• Processing of measurements using software
• Generation of reports

During the course several case studies on different types of files will be dealt with: FTTH engineering v2 theory ZTD, ZMD, G652 and G657 cable types, Optical LAN permanent links (theory), light propagation, transmitters and receivers - optical budget, cables, splitters, connectors, soldering, couplers, measurements- photometry and reflectometry, Fibercâble software.

Module 2 - Optical Fibre Practical

Practical work: FTTH ZTD and building solution, ZMD, drawers and optical LAN, soldering and coiling, Mid Span Access, Measurements, optical fibre box programming, Fibercâble.

Several trips are planned to study and observe a fibre optic worksite in a real-life situation

Module 3 - Preparation for electrical authorisations H0/B0 - BS / BE

Module 4 - CACES nacelle 1B+3B: : Preparing for and passing the CACES 1B (bucket truck) and 3B (autonomous bucket)

Module 5 - Plane reading : Plan reading Building Nomenclatures

Module 6 - SST : Preparation for the Sauveteur Secouriste du Travail qualification

Module 7 - Physical efficiency module: Attitudes and gestures enabling you to work safely while protecting yourself from physical pathologies linked to work on site
