At the end of the training course, the trainee will be confronted with the core activities of the home help profession:
- Discovering clients in terms of their characteristics and needs; assisting people with their domestic tasks and everyday activities; looking after babies and children at home; planning and organising their activities at home.
They will need to acquire the following professional skills:
- Understand the importance of behaviour in intervention
- Master their professional skills
- Develop their ability to adjust their interventions in response to the needs of the customer and their relatives
- Develop their self-confidence to manage difficult situations.
- Defining the professional framework: the home help profession
- The regulatory and ethical framework for home help
- Assisting people with their domestic tasks: using appropriate professional techniques and gestures (home maintenance, laundry, preparing meals and shopping, ...)
- Taking over from parents in caring for their children at home
- Assisting dependent people with the essential acts of their daily lives (help with dressing, getting around, eating, ...)
- Job-seeking techniques.
- Have a good knowledge of the people they support and the demands of the job: patience, punctuality, sense of responsibility, tiring tasks, punctuality, regularity, etc.

Positioning upstream of entry to training.
Interviews, remediation with the educational referent and/or the company referent during training.
Taking into account the satisfaction of beneficiaries during and at the end of training.
For beneficiaries with disabilities: possible adaptation of training and certification methods, support by the GRETA-CFA TH referent.
