Preparing for the competitive entrance examination for DEAES training means acquiring the following professional skills:
- Mastering the written and oral expression techniques required for the selection tests on entry to training
- Acquiring procedures for analysing current affairs and health and social policies
- Defining one's training project and professional project through better knowledge of oneself and the chosen profession
- To prepare for the selection tests
- To acquire a learning methodology to prepare for entry to the training course
- To compare one's perceptions of the profession and the training course, depending on the speciality envisaged, with the reality of the field and project themselves into the future profession.
Written expression
- Methodology for organising ideas, constructing an outline, using logical links
- Language techniques and writing techniques (revision of lexical and grammatical spelling concepts, rules of syntax, broadening of vocabulary as required)
General culture
- Study of health and social issues, analysis of topical subjects, broadening of knowledge on the basis of suggested dossiers and personal research
Methodology
- Identifying debating themes and issues, searching for information, reading accurately, hierarchising essential ideas, developing curiosity, expanding vocabulary, producing thematic sheets, a glossary of terms and acronyms relating to an issue, identifying the main institutions
Oral interview
-Discussion on health and social issues, reflection on motivation
-Preparation for the interview with the jury, oral expression and communication
- Theoretical work based on documentary files compiled and summary sheets
- Making presentations and enhancing speaking skills
- Work in small groups to analyse practices and feedback in larger groups.
Have a validated career plan towards educational and social support.
Mastery of written communication (methodology, writing workshops, training under selection conditions), oral expression (simulated individual and group interviews) and an interest in economic and social current affairs are the main assets for successfully completing this preparation.
