The course covers the knowledge and methodologies specific to preparation for the written and oral selection tests for entry to nursing training institutes.
It enables students to acquire the following skills:

- Mastering the written and oral expression techniques required for the selection tests on entry to training courses
- Acquiring procedures for analysing current affairs and health and social policies
- Defining one's training project and professional project through better knowledge of oneself and the chosen profession
- Putting oneself in a selection test situation
- Acquiring a learning methodology to prepare for entry to training courses
- Confronting one's representations of the profession and studies, with the reality of the field and project themselves into the future profession.

- Présentation du contenu de l'épreuve du concours

Explication des capacités attendues

- Etude de la méthodologie: du résumé, de la synthèse de texte, de la recherche des idées principales

Comprehension of texts on the following themes

- Violence, cancers, smoking, the family, bioethics, balanced diet, global warming, ...

MATHEMATICS/LOGIC

Conversions. Time. The rules of three. Fractions. Interest. Percentages. Uniform movements. Cards. Shares. Forming equations. Solving with false assumptions. Mixing. Dosing. Concentrations.

Test practice

Preparation for the competition oral test

Voice control, attitude, dress, body language. Conciseness and clarity of speech. Language registers. Methodology of the test. Reacting to stress.

Knowledge of the profession. Building a career plan, highlighting motivations.

Test practice and mock exams.

The proposed objectives and content are informative: they will be specified according to each person's level of language proficiency and according to the project: level of proficiency in skills determined during a positioning phase.
