The training focuses on the acquisition of the following professional skills:

-Analysing changes in the family model and parenthood

-Developing the ability to listen to and take on board parental difficulties

-Conducting interviews with parents who are not doing well

-Adapting one's professional posture to the institution's project, to one's role and to the resulting missions.

  • Parenting today: a conceptual and theoretical approach
  • Historical and legal reminders of the different forms of parenthood
  • "Parenthood": a word tool for education professionals

Childhood and Parenthood

  • From the "child-king" to the "tyrant"
  • The paternal and maternal functions
  • Welcoming and listening to parental requests: distinguishing between manifest and latent content
  • Towards parenting expertise: a school for parents

How should we think about supporting parents today?

  • Communicating with parents: how to respond to them, what posture to adopt?
  • The third-party function: filling in without substituting

A working tool: the framework for family interviews

  • The interview framework: containing and reassuring function. Work on the interest of setting up a reception system capable of receiving and thinking about family difficulties and suffering
  • Implementing a suitable framework in line with the missions entrusted, the skills of professionals and the institutional environment
  • Organisational interviews, support interviews, therapeutic interviews: 3 natures, 3 postures
  • Build your framework and find a posture that suits your educational personality.
