Supplementary qualification: Welding Technician

The holder of the complementary qualification "Welding Technician" is able to decode and interpret documents, analyse and/or check all or part of the parameters of a welding operation, communicate in writing and orally, including in English, weld completely independently in the workshop and on site, check the quality of welds and assembled components, comply with procedures relating to safety and respect for the environment, guarantee the availability of welding equipment.

He makes welds that meet the conditions prescribed by the welding specifications in compliance with the welding or repair welding procedure descriptions (DMOS or DMOSR).

BC01 - Analysis and exploitation of data preparatory to an operation

• Decoding and interpreting documents
• Analysing and determining operating data

BC02 - Prefabrication and inspection of all or part of a piping line

• Prefabricate all or part of a piping line
• Check the quality and conformity of all or part of a piping line

BC03 - Execution, assembly and site management carried out in a professional environment

• Communicate orally and in writing, including in English
• Assemble and/or dismantle all or part of a piping line
• Complete all or part of a piping line on site
• Comply with safety and environmental procedures

• Diploma from the Ministry of National Education and Youth Level 4 (Baccalauréat, BP, BT)
