The fast service operator is a car maintenance mechanic. They carry out all maintenance operations on mechanical components, tyres, running gear, braking systems and periodic servicing. They are also involved in customer service relations.
The main objectives of the training are:
Integration period: Welcome, presentation of training objectives, getting to know the professional environment
Module 1 - Performing periodic maintenance and replacing common wearing parts: taking charge of a motor vehicle, performing and repairing a non-permanent mechanical assembly, performing periodic maintenance on a motor vehicle, replacing tyres and braking system components.
Module 2 - Intervening with mechanical components: knowing the technical characteristics (transmission clutches, gearboxes), checking and replacing a clutch and its mechanical or hydraulic control.
Module 3 - Intervening with tyres: running gear and braking system, wheel and tyre replacement and repair, wheel balancing and adjustment, visually checking a vehicle's ground connections, checking and adjusting running gear angles, checking and replacing the mechanical and hydraulic components of the service and emergency brakes.
Module 4 - Customer service relations, management and organisation : knowing the legal obligations of the repairer, giving a positive image of the company to the customer, explaining the mechanical and electrical functions of the systems encountered, scheduling the implementation of workshop materials and equipment.
Aspects relating to sustainable development are covered throughout the course: sorting waste (oil change, filters, tyres, batteries, damaged parts, soiled rags, etc.) to encourage treatment including recycling, maintaining the energy performance and CO2 emissions of vehicles.
Have a B driving licence (light vehicles). Be in good physical condition.
