The certificate is valid for 3 years, and it is advisable to follow a MAC at least every 36 months.

Only candidates who have completed the entire training course (21 hours) and who have passed the certificate tests can claim the MAC SST Trainer certificate.

Already hold an SST trainer certificate. An SST trainer whose certificate expiry date has passed may no longer practise as an SST trainer. They may take a MAC to recover their certification provided that the delay between the expiry date and the MAC does not prejudice the success of the certification tests of the candidates they are going to train.

The training course takes place in person at the centre, which provides the ideal setting for building group dynamics, encouraging interactive discussions between trainees and making use of professional equipment.
This training course is regulated; no exemptions are permitted.
Your INRS accreditation and SST trainer card are compulsory. They may be up to six months out of date to be eligible for the SST trainer refresher course. If the accreditation expiry date is earlier, the trainer/expert has sole discretion over your enrolment.
Trainees’ satisfaction is assessed during and at the end of the course.
For participants with disabilities: training and certification arrangements may be adapted, with support provided by the disability liaison officer.

Provide occupational health and safety training (actor level) in compliance with INRS regulations. SST actor trainers can complete their skills by becoming SST Trainer of Trainers through training provided solely by the INRS.
