MAC FORMATEUR SST - Maintaining and updating the skills of workplace first aid instructors

Maintain and update the skills of Sauveteur Secouriste du Travail (SST) trainers in the following areas:

1. Demonstrate the value of SST training for a company.
2. Master the methodological and technical aspects of prevention and first aid to implement SST training
3. Design, lead, assess and monitor an SST actor training action.

This interactive prevention and first aid training course is conducted in accordance with the strict teaching methods defined by the Institut National de Recherche et de Sécurité (INRS) reference framework for the prevention of accidents at work and occupational illnesses:

• alternating between theoretical input and practical simulations
• continuous assessment and teaching skills tests

The certificate is valid for 3 years, and it is advisable to follow a MAC at least every 36 months.

Only candidates who have completed the entire training course (21 hours) and who have passed the certificate tests can claim the MAC SST Trainer certificate.

• All audiences

Already hold an SST trainer certificate. An SST trainer whose certificate expiry date has passed may no longer practise as an SST trainer. They may take a MAC to recover their certification provided that the delay between the expiry date and the MAC does not prejudice the success of the certification tests of the candidates they are going to train.

Provide occupational health and safety training (actor level) in compliance with INRS regulations. SST actor trainers can complete their skills by becoming SST Trainer of Trainers through training provided solely by the INRS.
