External thermal insulation (ITE)

The main objectives of this training course for facade builders and bricklayers are:

• acquire sufficient knowledge and techniques to carry out and implement the installation of the wedged/crimped insulation of an Isolation Thermique par l'Extérieur (ITE) up to the covering and finishing
• carry out an ITE installation in accordance with the regulations in force and the professional rules
• take into account the recommendations of the various suppliers

During the training simple and effective self-checking means tools, that can be used throughout the ITE construction process are provided.

Trainees have at their disposal, on the one hand, the suppliers' specifications and, on the other hand, information internal to the various suppliers provided by the latter.

The teaching team deploys various teaching methods such as individualised workshops and group work.

The media are highly diversified (paper documentation, video projector, CD ROM, use of suppliers' standards and catalogues, etc.)

Several work placements in companies to put ITE techniques into practice are also organised.

Standards, charters and agreements: RGE (Reconnu Garant de l'Environnement), QUALIBAT, Eco Artisan, ADEME, RT 2012, etc.

Preparing masonry supports with a view to installing an ITE system with thin rendering

• Protecting the environment of supports/ Treating disorders on supports

Applying and treat an insulation system on a substrate with a view to the application of a thin plaster

• Fit insulation with glued fixing / Fit insulation with wedged / pegged fixing / Fit insulation with profiled fixing .
• Treat singular points / Make up edges / Lay fibreglass.

Manually apply a thin coating on insulation / Carry out the various finishes.

Regulatory training

• Mounting and dismantling scaffolding (in accordance with R408 regulations) / B0 electrical accreditation

Costing and marketing the ITE service: producing the installation estimate / being able to present it to a customer with the visual changes to their facade
