BS electrical accreditation: Basic supervisor, low voltage

- To know the theoretical and practical basics of electricity.
- To know the electrical standards and their conditions of application.
- To be able to understand an electrical installation and carry out routine maintenance work
- To be able to apply all the necessary precautions for a simple intervention on an installation: aptitude for the issue of the BS electrical authorisation title by the employer.

Theoretical basics of electricity
Voltage, current, power, resistance, Ohm's Law; electric current (direct / alternating); electrical diagrams
Electrical tools
Basic tools; use of measuring devices: ammeter, voltmeter, ohmmeter, multimeter
Electrical installations
- Single-phase / three-phase installations
- Different types of circuits: cable cross-sections, fitting fuses and sockets
- Protection of electrical circuits: fuse, circuit-breaker, role of the neutral conductor
- Control elements: switches, dimmers, timers, contactors
- Installing lights, sockets: changes, additions; surface-mounted and flush-mounted installations
