The course is based on the provision of knowledge and methodologies specific to preparation for the written and oral selection tests for entry to paramedical training institutes.
It enables students to acquire the following skills:
-Master the techniques of written and oral expression required for the selections on entry to training courses; -Acquire the procedures for analysing current events and health and social policies; -Define one's training project and professional project through better knowledge of oneself and the chosen profession; -Put oneself in a selection test situation; -Confront one's representations of the profession and training, with the reality of the field and project oneself into the future profession.
WRITTEN TESTS
HEALTH AND SOCIAL ACTUALITY
-Written expression and methodology: Usual spelling and grammatical spelling, the verbal system, syntax, vocabulary. Standard questions. Text comprehension. Methodology of the plan
-General culture: The elderly and disabled. Employment and unemployment. Adolescence. Drugs. Violence in schools. Cancer. AIDS Hospital-acquired infections. Health and the environment. Nutrition and eating habits. Bioethics. Abuse
-Oral expression: Control of voice, attitude, dress, body language. Conciseness and clarity of expression. Language registers. Test methodology. Reaction to stress. Knowledge of the profession. Building a career plan, highlighting motivations
-Biology: General organisation of the human body. Human physiology: nutrition, reproduction, sensory organs. Cells and tissues. Basics of nutrition. Basics of microbiology. Bio-contamination, nosocomial infections, notions on diseases with a social impact
-Mathematics: Operating techniques. Problem solving using simple calculations. Conversions of units of measurement. Proportionality/the rule of three, percentages
-Logic: Logic squares, graphic series, numerical (open and closed) and alphabetical series, matrices, orientation tests, dominoes and cards, sets, intruders, attention, organisation and time-use tests as well as all archive tests, targets, compasses, ...
ORAL TESTS
-General knowledge module: study of health and social themes and practice for the tests
-Communication module - practice for the selection interview: explaining a general topic and arguing your application - reacting to stress.
-Written and oral mock exams.
Level 3ème or equivalent experience.
