To be operational and self-sufficient in customer reception duties in hotels.

Prepare and provide a quality breakfast service and bar services for both French and English-speaking customers.


  • Introductory module

    • Discovery and characteristics of the sector and the profession
    • Savoir être and communication in a hotel environment
    • Knowledge of customer typologies

    "Hotel reception "module

    • Discovering hotel procedures
    • Discovering the typology of establishments
    • Hotel reception techniques, taking into account their specific features
    • Management of customer relations, including in conflict situations or specific health situations (safety)
    • Response to requests for hotel reservations,
    • Controlling the arrival and departure of hotel guests, dealing with any problems that may arise
    • Assisting hotel guests in organising their travel and leisure activities
    • Selling hotel products and services, helping to develop the business
    • Managing complaints
    • Rules of inter-department communication
    • Notions of yield management and social networks

    Module "Preparation, organisation and service of breakfast"

    • Cleaning and maintenance of furniture and specific equipment (HACCP)
    • Conditions for a successful welcome, in French and English
    • Order taking and preparation in compliance with health and safety rules, in French and English
    • Different methods of service (buffet, tray in room...)

    "Technical control of the bar activity "module

    • Receipt, control and storage of goods
    • Discovery and maintenance of equipment
    • Required display
    • Bar management and sale of products

    PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH module

    • Understand, express oneself and interact in a simple professional communication situation related to hospitality and bar service

  • Certification of prior learning
Total maximum duration of 370 hours, including 70 hours on the job and 300 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.
