Becoming a House Master

Throughout the course, the aim is to acquire the following skills :

-Situate one's place, role, responsibilities and limits; -Guarantee the quality of the living environment; -Maintain the living environment, maintain the linen; -Design menus and organise meals in accordance with food hygiene rules and taking into account people's preferences and diets; -Understand and master food hygiene rules and apply these rules to one's professional environment; -Prevent any risk of contamination, analyse risks and put in place the necessary measures to mitigate food risks; -Manage stocks and purchases; -Accompany people during everyday activities (entrances, outings, meals, recreational activities, festive events); -Participate in developing or maintaining independence in everyday activities; -Participate in developing or maintaining social ties on a daily basis.

Modules common to the "Qualified night supervisor" training course : 126 hours

-Institutional framework of the function and professional posture; -Working in a multidisciplinary team; -Publics and problems; -Bases and methods of support; -Communicating and informing; -Managing emergency situations and tensions; -Procedures and standards for the safety of property and people; -Methodological support for the professional dossier; -Methodological support for the viva

Modules specific to the "Maître(sse) de Maison" training course : 77 hours

-Role and function of the housekeeper; -Receiving users and group life; -Leading an activity, organising an event for users; -Maintenance and hygiene of premises and linen; -Stock management and purchasing; -Safety of people and property - Health and safety at work (SST certificate); -Food hygiene/HACCP (HACCP certificate); -Design menus to suit tastes and diets.

Certification: Attestation de qualification aux fonctions de "Maître(sse) de Maison" issued by the CPNE de la Branche sanitaire, sociale et médico sociale.
