Luthiery is the art of working wood to achieve a beautiful musical sound. This training module is aimed above all at people who have the sensitive and precise ear of the musician.

You will study the link between technical choices (thicknesses, choice of woods, internal structure, dams, weight of elements) and the final sound rendition. The laws of acoustics and modern research and manufacturing techniques in lutherie will also be covered.

Depending on the candidate's prior knowledge, the operations involved in making the guitar will be more or less complete and complex.

The pedagogical organisation will enable everyone to practise at their own level and benefit from the experience of others to acquire the techniques involved in building an acoustic guitar or instrument, and the manufacturing stages covered during the course will be adapted to the trainee's prior technical skills.

Depending on the level of the learner, the work to be carried out during the course could range from the simple assembly of a quality kit, to the entire construction of the instrument from A to Z.
