To enable "Accompagnement Soins Services à la Personne" (ASSP) baccalaureate holders who wish to pursue a diploma course in Aide Soignant, to benefit from a bridging course, in accordance with the Decree of 10 June 2021, amended by the Decree of 9 June 2023, relating to training leading to the State Diploma in Aide Soignant and with the aim of developing the following professional skills:
- Accompanying people and carrying out adapted care in the activities of their daily and social life
- Assessing the clinical condition and implementing adapted care in collaboration
- Establishing adapted communication to inform and accompany the person and their entourage, as well as informing and training peers, people in training and other professionals
- Use techniques for maintaining the person's immediate environment and equipment linked to activities, taking into account the place and situations of intervention
- Work in a multi-professional team and process information linked to care activities, quality/risk management
Bac Pro ASSP holders are exempt from modules 1,2,6,7,8,9,10.
Theoretical training lasting 406 hours is organised into 3 modules:
Module 3 Assessing a person's clinical condition and adapting their care

Learner support is based on three intervention methods:
The clinical training of 350 hours, i.e. 10 weeks of 35 hours, is made up of two 5-week placement periods to be completed (outside the employer if required)
At least one clinical period must be completed with people with physical or mental disabilities and one period with elderly people.

- Hold the Bac Pro ASSP (copy of certificate of successful completion or diploma).

- Medical certificate of fitness to follow the DEAS from a doctor approved by the ARS

If they have a baccalaureate, care assistants can continue their training and prepare for the nursing DE.
If they do not have a baccalaureate but have 3 years of professional practice, they can take specific selection tests to enter the training leading to this DE.
