To enable "Accompagnement Soins Services à la Personne" (ASSP) baccalaureate holders who wish to pursue a diploma course in Aide Soignant, to benefit from a partial modular pathway (with reference to the Order of 21 May 2014 amending that of 22 October 2005 relating to training leading to the Aide Soignant state diploma).
The main professional skills targeted are as follows:
-Accompanying a person in the essential acts of daily life, taking into account their needs and degree of autonomy
-Assessing a person's clinical condition
-Performing care adapted to the person's clinical condition
-Establishing communication adapted to the person and their entourage
-Organising their work within a multi-professional team.
The work placements must enable the trainee's progress throughout the training course to be assessed and the required skills to be acquired. During each placement, all the skills corresponding to the training modules followed by the trainee, are assessed.
-For holders of the Bac professionel ASSP,the partial modular training covers three training modules at the centre(exemption from 5 training modules):
- Module 2: The clinical condition of a person
- Module 3: Care
- Module 5: Relationships - Communication
+ 2 training periods of 6 weeks to be completed in professional environment, in the health, social or medico-social sector, including 1 training period at least in a health establishment, in a short-stay unit
-For holders of the Bac professionnel SAPAT, the partial modular training covers four training modules at the centre (exemption from 4 training modules):
- Module 2: The clinical condition of a person
- Module 3: Care
- Module 5: Relationship - Communication
- Module 6: Hygiene of hospital premises
+ 3 work placements (2 of 6 weeks and 1 of 2 weeks) to be completed in a professional environment, in the health, social or medico-social sector, including 2 work placements at least in a health establishment, in a short-stay unit.

Have a Bac Professionnel ASSP and meet the following selection criteria : - submit a personal file consisting of a CV and covering letter; an academic file with results and assessments of work placements and a copy of the Bac Professionnel diploma. After examining the various documents making up the file:
- be invited to anindividual interview(motivation and interest in the profession) before a panel of judges, on the basis of the file.

If they have a baccalaureate, care assistants can continue their training and prepare for the nursing DE.
If they do not have a baccalaureate but have 3 years of professional practice, they can take specific selection tests to enter the training leading to this DE.
