The educational and social support worker carries out day-to-day social interventions aimed at supporting people with disabilities or affected by a lack of autonomy, whatever their origin or nature.
They take into account difficulties linked to age, illness or lifestyle, or the consequences of a vulnerable social situation, to enable the person to be an actor in their life project.
In conjunction with the person's family and friends, the carer assists them with the essentials of daily life, as well as with social, educational and leisure activities.
They ensure that children, adolescents, adults and the elderly acquire, maintain or regain their independence, and support them in their social and relational life.
The assistance and support provided contribute to the person's development at home and in an institution.
The training is broken down into:
5 Training Domains (DF) of 546 hours:
DF1 "Accompanying the person in the essential acts of daily life": 112 hours of teaching.
DF2 "Accompanying the person in the acts of daily life while respecting that person and the rules of hygiene and safety": 91 hours of teaching.
DF5 "Working in a multi-professional team, risk management and processing information relating to support for the individual": 91 hours of teaching
21 hours devoted to the Level 2 Emergency Gestures and Care Training Certificate (AFGSU)
840 hours of practical training in professional situations.

Total maximum duration of 1,407 hours, including 840 hours on the job and 567 hours at the training centre.
