The DCG is the first level of the chartered accountancy programme, and is designed to certify Level 6 competence required to carry out assignments in the field of management consultancy and organisational support, either within an accountancy firm or in the accounts or finance department of an organisation. 

Upon completion of the course, candidates will be able to carry out the following activities:

- Maintaining an organisation’s day-to-day accounts with a view to preparing the annual accounts

- Producing accounting information for tax and social security purposes 

- Analysing the organisation’s processes within its operating environment

- Preparing periodic tax and social security returns

- Providing support to clients on matters of employment law and taxation

- Maintaining and managing client relationships

- Using the management tools required to support decision-making

- Organising the processing of information 

- Drafting and presenting reports and documents, including in English

    The qualification covers 12 learning units spread over 3 years. We design our individualised and personalised study pathways based on the results of regulatory and educational assessments. Eight weeks of work placements or significant experience in a chartered accountancy firm or within the accounting and finance departments of an organisation are compulsory to obtain the qualification. 

    Depending on the centre, this course is offered over 2 years following validation or exemption from certain learning units, notably: 1, 5, 8, 9, 12, and/or upon obtaining a French degree or Level 5 qualification certifying higher education in the fields of law, accountancy, economics or management.

    The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

    • All audiences

    Depending on the institution, this course may be offered over 3 years for holders of a Level 4 qualification or over 2 years for students who have had prior learning recognised as relevant to the DCG syllabus. For example, the modules offered in the first year, or those who have obtained a BTS in Accounting and Management, a DUT or BUT in Business Management and Administration (GEA) with a specialisation in accounting and finance, or a vocational bachelor’s degree in the fields of accounting, law, management or organisational management, which may lead to exemptions from certain examinations.

    It requires rigour, a head for figures and analysis, a systematic approach and good organisational skills.

    This course consists of certifiable skill modules, which can be undertaken and assessed separately.

    At the end of each academic year, you sit modules to validate your year. 

    The DCG is awarded to candidates who have achieved an overall average of at least 10 out of 20 across all the examinations comprising the qualification, with no mark lower than 6 out of 20. 

    In the event of partial validation of the qualification, the modules successfully completed remain valid for 8 years.
