The Diploma in Accounting and Management (DCG) is a national higher education qualification conferring the status of a bachelor’s degree on its holder. As such, candidates sit the same examinations according to a national timetable, regardless of their status.

The DCG constitutes the first level of the chartered accountancy programme, and is designed to certify Level 6 competence required to carry out assignments in the field of management consultancy and organisational support, either within a chartered accountancy firm or in an organisation’s accounting or finance department. 

Acquire the skills required for each module comprising the qualification:

    RNCP41843BC01 - Identify and characterise the legal context of an organisation to enable an informed and appropriate choice of the rules applicable to its directors and the situations they face

    RNCP41843BC02 - Identify and characterise the corporate framework of an organisation’s economic activity in order to make an informed and appropriate choice of the applicable business law rules

    RNCP41843BC03 - Support an organisation in the various aspects of managing its employees

    RNCP41843BC04 - Support the organisation in its tax environment and manage its various tax obligations

    RNCP41843BC05 - Analyse a company’s economic environment to gain a better understanding of its business and market

    RNCP41843BC06 - Carry out a financial analysis of an organisation to provide information to support decision-making

    RNCP41843BC07 - Analyse the context and management challenges within an organisation to support it at strategic, operational and organisational levels

    RNCP41843BC08 - Contribute to the informed and effective use of information systems within organisations

    RNCP41843BC09 - Maintain an organisation’s day-to-day accounts with a view to preparing the annual accounts

    RNCP41843BC10 - Analyse and record transactions relating to assets and liabilities for the purpose of producing annual accounts and checking the overall consistency of the financial statements

    RNCP41843BC11 - Use the management control tools required to monitor operations and steer an organisation’s overall performance

    RNCP41843BC12 - Communicate in English in an international professional context

    The qualification covers 12 learning units spread over 3 years. We design our individualised and personalised study pathways based on the results of regulatory and academic assessments. Eight weeks of work placements or significant experience in a chartered accountancy firm or within the accounting and finance departments of an organisation are compulsory to obtain the qualification. 

    Depending on the location, this course is offered over 2 years following validation or exemption from certain learning units, notably: 1, 5, 8, 9, 12, and/or upon obtaining a French degree or Level 5 qualification certifying higher education in the fields of law, accountancy, economics or management.

    Maximum total duration of 3,214 hours, comprising 2,354 hours in the workplace and 860 hours at a training centre.
    The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

    • All audiences

    This training can be offered, depending on the sites, over 3 years for holders of a level 4 diploma or over 2 years for trainees who have validated prior learning in relation to the content of the DCG. For example, the UE offered in the 1st year, or those who have obtained a BTS in accountancy and management, a DUT or BUT in business management and administration (GEA) with an option in accountancy and finance, or a professional degree in accountancy, law, management or organisational management, which give rise to exemptions from the exams.

    • Continuation of studies/passerelle: having passed the DCG diploma, candidates have the option of continuing their higher education with the Diplôme Supérieur de Comptabilité et Gestion (DSCG) at bac + 5 level, which itself opens the way to the Diplôme d'Expertise Comptable (DEC) at bac + 8 level, or moving on to university courses or business schools.
