 CS - Certificate of Specialisation in Food Sales and Advice

The holder of the complementary qualification "Food Sales Advisor" carries out his/her activity in a food retail outlet. He/she is part of an active sales approach in compliance with hygiene and health safety rules for foodstuffs and food preparations.  He/she contributes to the development of a personalised and lasting customer relationship. 

At the end of the course, the candidate is able to:

  • supply the sales area with food products
  • enhance the product offering
  • advise on and sell these products
  • foster and develop the sales relationship.

 This level 3 specialisation certificate, is broken down into 2 blocks of skills. Each unit corresponds to a block of skills and a test for which candidates receive a certificate recognising the acquisition of the skills that make up each block. The diploma is awarded on the basis of an average mark of more than 10/20 in all the tests. Candidates who have already validated blocks of skills may be exempted from the corresponding tests.

BC01 - Enhance the range of food products as part of a quality approach

Supply food products:

  • Perform daily physical inventory
  • Participate in orders
  • Receive, checking and storing goods
  • Managing waste and instructions
  • Organising and maintaining work areas

Enhancing the offer

  • Preparing and packaging products
  • Applying labelling rules
  • Implanting products
  • Making, install and update signage
  • Stage and dramatise products
  • Maintain the department in commercial condition

BC02 - Implement, personalise and develop customer relations

Advise and sell

  • Welcome the customer
  • Discover, identifying and reformulating the customer's needs
  • Adapting to the commercial context and the customer's behaviour
  • Presenting food products and arguing
  • Advising the customer
  • Taking physical and virtual orders
  • Proposing additional sales and personalised associated services
  • Cashing and carrying out operations complementary to the cashing in

Developing sales activity and building loyalty

  • Implementing sales promotions
  • Participating in digital sales communication
  • Presenting and implementing loyalty-building tools
  • Finalising personalised customer care
  • Identifying the type of complaint and proposing an appropriate solution

  • Diploma from the Ministry of National Education and Youth Level 3 (CAP)
