The holder of this diploma assesses faults and carries out repairs as well as inspection and testing procedures. His activity falls within the scope of scheduled maintenance (short visit, long visit, inspection) or breakdown repairs. You will have a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of electricity and electronics, digital electronic-technical systems, materials and accessories technology, maintenance methods and procedures, and aeronautical regulations.

As the professional context is international, fluency in English is essential.

The training programme for the turbine engine helicopter option focuses on knowledge of the structure and systems, turbine technology, materials and accessories, and maintenance practices.

The candidate is also prepared to sit the European Part-66 examinations for the B1.3 aircraft mechanic licence (DGAC licence).


The course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical application and assessment sessions to promote practical and progressive learning.

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance
  • Make a decision on returning an aircraft to service

General education

- English

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.

Maximum total duration of 1100 hours, including 480 hours in a company and 630 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

Have one of the following vocational baccalaureate specialities: aeronautics (all options) and general aviation.

Have the skills to work in a team as part of a project approach.

Have the skills to adapt to an industrial environment, to understand and respect the rules governing its operation and safety.

Mobilise your written and oral expression skills including English to communicate and argue.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years

This diploma is prepared in 1 year after a CAP, a vocational baccalaureate or even a technological or general baccalaureate. It enables better adaptation to the job by adding a specialisation to the initial qualification.

He can find a job as a technician in a helicopter construction, operation or repair company.
