Acquire the theoretical and practical foundations to help families, elderly people, or disabled people living in private, individual or collective housing.

At the end of the course, the aim is to develop the following professional skills:
-Posing a diagnosis of the situation
-Favouring communication and liaison with the person, the entourage, the family and with the other partners involved in the home
-Working to maintain and restore the person's independence
-Accompanying the person in the acts of daily living
-Maintaining and adapting the living environment
-Organising one's work and managing (everyday products, the budget for purchases)
-Evaluating the quality of the action.

The training enables the holder of this diploma to acquire a global approach to the person and to meet their daily life needs.

Acquiring the MC AD gives the equivalence of the DEAES speciality "accompanying home life" (Diplôme d'Etat d'Accompagnant Educatif et Social).

The training pathway is organised around three centre-based training modules:

- Managing and carrying out activities of daily living: home user service techniques - housing technology

- Supporting people in activities of daily living and helping them to live independently: knowledge of the public - physiopathology - health aid techniques

- Supporting and helping people in social life: medico-social sciences - home user service techniques

And periods of training in a professional environment (6 weeks in a social structure and 10 weeks at home).
