On completion of the course, the professional will be able to:
- install, maintain and troubleshoot heating and cooling installations.
- intervene on fixed heating or cooling appliances with a power rating ranging from 4 to 70 kW, installed on the floor or wall.
- initiate diagnostic procedures in compliance with the procedures defined in the "Règles de l'Art Grenelle Environnement 2012" (RAGE), the French Heat Pump Association (AFPAC), and the Syndicat National de la Maintenance et des Services en Efficacité Energétique (SYNASAV).
- inform the customer of the condition of their appliance, informing them of the risks to aim for optimum operation of the installation
- repair an air conditioner or heat pump following preventive maintenance after communicating a diagnosis and estimate to the customer
- advise the customer on the choice of a heat pump or air conditioner solution,
- plan and communicate the nature of the work and carry out the installation,
- act professionally in a sustainable development dynamic
The course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical application and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.
BC01 – Carrying out preventative maintenance on a heat pump or air-conditioning unit
Checking the seal on a heat pump or air-conditioning unit
Carrying out a preventative inspection of a heat pump or air-conditioning unit
BC02 - Carrying out corrective maintenance on a heat pump or air-conditioning unit
Diagnosing a fault in a heat pump or air-conditioning unit
Restoring a heat pump or air-conditioning unit to working order
BC03 - Install a heat pump or air-conditioning system
Recommend a heat pump or air-conditioning solution
Install and commission a heat pump or air-conditioning system
Obtain the Category 1 certificate of competence in the handling of refrigerants issued by a certifying body (COPROTEC, DEKRA, etc.), and hold the necessary electrical qualifications and prior authorisation to carry out work on electrical installations relating to B2V, BC and BR types of work, in compliance with the regulations and Health, Safety and Environment rules in force.
