CQP Thermal and photovoltaic solar panel roofing installer

Working to the instructions of the company manager or project manager, the solar thermal and photovoltaic roofer installs and integrates solar thermal and photovoltaic panels on roofs in compliance with professional standards, while complying with safety and accident prevention regulations. He connects the panels to the existing electrical and hydraulic installations, and also ensures that the structure is watertight. On site, solar thermal and photovoltaic roofers always work as part of a team, with at least one other journeyman

Site set-up

• Read the instructions of your line manager, find the site of the work and ask any useful questions
• Communicate with the client and/or the project manager
• Install or ensure the installation of collective protection devices
• Install personal protection devices
• Organise your workstation

Implementing the work

• Discovering the required roof surface
• Recognising the substrate
• Storing and removing the elements
• Protecting the work
• Lifting and handling the elements to be installed
• Fitting the solar panel supports
• Placing the solar solar panels
• Connect the photovoltaic solar panels
• Ensure that the photovoltaic solar system is working correctly
• Connect the thermal solar panels
• Ensure that the thermal solar system is working correctly

Folding up the site

• Evacuating leftover materials and rubble
• Turning over equipment and tools
• Taking down and turning over scaffolding or having scaffolding turned over
• Cleaning up the site and tidying up the surroundings

• Certificate of professional qualification (CQP) Level 3 (CAP)

Total maximum duration of 980 hours, including 280 hours in a company and 700 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.
