In compliance with safety, hygiene and health at work procedures and prevention rules, the workshop boilermaker is likely to be involved in the production of boilerwork sub-assemblies, on unit parts or small series, and generally of medium thickness. His activity is mainly located in the manufacturing workshop.

They work under the responsibility of a technician or superior, using technical files, work instructions and/or operating procedures. The workshop boilermaker is likely to manufacture, individually or in small series, primary parts and boilermade subassemblies in medium-thickness sheet metal for a wide variety of fields of application, such as, for example: tanks or silos for storing industrial, agri-food or pharmaceutical liquids or for fire reserves, skips, formwork or metal tubes, structures, supports or other mechanically welded or assembled elements.

The boilermaker has a good perception of shapes in space, physical stamina (noise, carrying loads, standing), and a real ability to work in a team.


The main aims of the course are :

  • Preparing for the manufacture of primary parts (cutting, shaping)
  • Making cuts in primary parts.
  • Shape primary components
  • Assemble a boilermade sub-assembly by punching (or small beads)
  • Check the conformity of a boilermade sub-assembly
  • Perform 1st level maintenance on the equipment used.

  • Certificate of professional qualification (CQP) Level 3

Maximum total duration of 718 hours, including 280 hours in a company and 438 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

Good knowledge of the boilermaking sector and working conditions, with or without professional experience. Be in very good physical condition. Meet the main characteristics of the job: manual dexterity, a taste for meticulous work, a sense of autonomy
