Acquire the professional skills to identify and apprehend the consequences of ageing and the consequences of pathologies and impairments in the daily lives of people being cared for.

- Notion of ageing, senescence and senility

Notion of autonomy:

• Definition and signs indicating a loss of autonomy - Causes and consequences
• Evaluation of the degree of autonomy and needs of the elderly

- The main functional and behavioural disorders of the elderly

• Most frequent pathologies and their consequences on daily life (cardiovascular; articular; neurological; metabolic)
• Possible interactions between these pathologies.
