The course is designed for professionals in the tourism sector and/or the hospitality industry and focuses on the general concepts of climate change and its consequences. As well as eco-responsible practices specific to the tourism sector.

Collaborate in groups on projects to educate people about the environment through tourism
Raise awareness and develop an awareness of sustainable development, tourism-ecological issues and eco-philosophy

The aim of this course is to raise awareness/reinforce learning about sustainable development and the issues involved in ecological and energy transitions, through:

- general notions about climate change,
- changes in professional practices specific to business sectors.

Modules:

1 : Sustainable and responsible tourism
2 : The different networks linked to sustainable development
3 : Tourism structures in sustainable tourism
4 : The economic model
5 : Project pedagogy linked to environmental education
6 : Tourism ecology and IT

The educational content is divided into 2 parts:

- General notions about climate change and its consequences (rising temperatures, recurrence of so-called "exceptional" climatic phenomena, melting ice, extinction of animal and plant species...), the main emitting sectors, greenhouse gas emissions, low-carbon actions, the circular economy, the increasing scarcity of certain resources, respect for living things, preserving biodiversity...This action also includes time dedicated to the challenges of the energy and ecological transition, those of the digital transition, hybridisation of career paths and digitalisation of professions, as well as the values of the Republic and Citizenship.

Certification of prior learning

including 56 hours on the job and 224 hours at the training centre.
