The aims of this professionalising course are to develop a professional culture on the issues and means of action in the industrial sector.
- Understanding the concept of sustainable development
- Characterising climate change: causes, foreseeable impacts, levers for action
- Quote the types and origins of industrial disasters (risks and prevention measures)
- Identify the types of industrial pollution and their impacts
- Quote examples of decarbonisation of industry (innovative projects)
- Characterise how renewable energies work (geothermal, wind, biomass, solar)
- Describe the categories of company waste and their recycling (eg: automotive mechanics)
- Describe clean modes of transport (sustainable mobility)
The training is based on the engineering and sustainable development speciality courses offered as part of the STI2D bac (sciences and technologies for industry and sustainable development).
The content is covered in a project approach, i.e. individual and group work using techniques such as information research, external surveys, site visits, etc., to be presented and reported back to the whole group.
Thus, depending on the trainees' professional choices and aims, projects such as:
- SEVESO site
- Protection of the atmosphere in the Alpes-Maritimes
- HQE high energy performance classified sites (Lycée Drap, Nice-Méridia....)
- Waste sorting and recovery centre
- Waste from a car garage
- Eco-district energy production plant
- The wood-energy sector
- Sustainable mobility in Nice
Or any other project proposed by the trainees in the field of sustainable development and industry.
Each project will be the subject of an assessed formalised production (report, slide show, photo report, video...).

In addition to the prerequisites for access in terms of level of general knowledge, an appetite and curiosity for careers in industry are sought for this training path.
