- Opening, consulting, closing a document, quitting Word
- Entering and modifying text
- Creating, saving and modifying a file
- Using the checking and correction tools
- Moving, copying, cutting, pasting text
Formatting text
- Using fonts, font size and colour
- Alignments, indentation tools
- Framing text, a paragraph, a page
- Managing margins, page breaks, headers and footers
- Printing documents
- Using the different tab stops
- Creating, modifying, formatting a simple table.
Assessment criteria
- The structure of the document is identified and understood.
- Simple text is entered correctly, respecting upper/lower case, accentuation, numbers, paragraphs.
- Modifications are applied correctly (insert, delete, copy/paste, character formatting).
- Existing or new simple files are opened correctly. They are saved and moved in a coherent tree structure.
- The digital form is filled in and saved correctly.
- The printer is identified; The print parameters are set as expected; The document is printed correctly.

Reading, writing and arithmetic. The areas of skills acquired are validated during the prior assessment and are capitalised on with a view to the Socle de Connaissances et de Compétences Professionnelles certification. A period of 5 years is allowed between the prior assessment of the skills acquired and the appearance before the certification panel.
