Calculating with relative numbers
- Addition of relative numbers ; Subtraction of relative numbers; Multiplication and division of relative numbers
Calculating with fractions
- Notion of fractions
- Simplification of fractions (divisibility criteria, finding prime factors, simplifying fractions)
- Problem solving (comparing, adding, subtracting)
Applying proportionality to percentages
- Direct percentages
- Indirect percentages.
Assessment criteria
- The reasoning chosen to solve a problem uses the correct operation(s): addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, as well as the rule of 3. The calculation carried out, simple or combined, produces an exact result. The identification of a percentage and its meaning are mastered; its use in calculations is appropriate. The result is accurate.

Reading, writing and arithmetic. The areas of skills acquired are validated during the prior assessment and are capitalised on with a view to the Socle de Connaissances et de Compétences Professionnelles certification. A period of 5 years is allowed between the prior assessment of the skills acquired and the appearance before the certification panel.
