Nuclear certification Nuclear reactor option (RN) Radiation protection (RP) level 1

This training is intended for category A or B workers wishing to work in a nuclear power plant in ZS and Z zones. It meets the training requirement for the components of the controlled area traffic uniform used at nuclear power plants (helmet, goggles and safety shoes).

The aim of the training is to

• give professionals the level of knowledge enabling them to issue the initial RP1 clearance
• adopt the basic rules of radiation protection in the NPP
• apply good radiation protection practices by complying with posted instructions and those given by your works manager
• improve your ability to implement individual radiation protection behaviours

The training programme must lead to successful completion of the validation tests for the initial Radioprotection 1 (RP1) certificate.

The basic knowledge required in the prevention of radiological risks in order to apply good practice in the context of their interventions in ZS and/or ZC is deployed as follows:

• Sense of the rules
• Radiological risks in the NPP
• Biological effects and their control
• Entrances to and exits from controlled areas
• Work in controlled areas
• Special risks
• Specifics of work in controlled areas

• Initial Radiation Protection Certification 1 (RP1) issued by CEFRI

Know how to communicate in French (read, write, speak)

Be in possession of a valid SCN level 1 or 2 training certificate (1 year tolerance)

Present, at the latest before the validation of the theoretical knowledge, an identity document: CNI, passport, residence card
